Desirable outcomes
People with disabilities are:
- actively and meaningfully involved in the management of CBR.
CBR activities:
- are based on a thorough analysis of the needs of all people with disabilities, including those most at risk of exclusion;
- mobilize and coordinate relevant stakeholders;
- build a sense of joint ownership among all stakeholders in support of programme sustainability;
- effectively contribute at an affordable cost to building inclusive communities and realizing the rights of all community members, including persons with disabilities; and
- develop the capacities of CBR staff to ensure continual quality improvement.
Within the community:
- decision-makers will put in place policies that implement the CRPD and budget for the inclusion of people with disabilities; and
- service providers will deliver services that are accessible and inclusive.
