This course consists of the following learning modules:
Module 1 – Introduction
The Introduction provides an overview of the concept of disability and its evolution, the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD), the development of CBR leading to the creation of the CBR matrix and the CBR Guidelines.
Modules 2–7
These modules begin by examining issues in Management, and then consider in turn each of the five basic components of the CBR Matrix – Health, Education, Livelihood, Social and Empowerment – each of which is broken down into its subcomponents and discussed separately.
Module 8
This supplementary module covers four additional topics, not previously considered in CBR: mental health, HIV/AIDS, leprosy and humanitarian crises.
