The material presented in this module is designed to help you adapt your CBR so that it best satisfies the needs, priorities and resources of the communities you serve. Specifically, you will learn how to:
- select the components and elements of the CBR matrix relevant and appropriate to your situation;
- employ a participatory style of management to increase the inclusiveness and sustainability of your CBR;
- use a proven four-stage management cycle to engage people with disabilities, their families and governments and funding bodies actively in the CBR process and effectively respond to the needs of people with disabilities and their families; and
- build a programme aligned with both the CBR Guidelines and the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD).
