All children:

  • Have an increased chance of survival and good health
  • Develop their physical, social, language and cognitive skills to their maximum potential
  • Learn to play together, accept the differences between disabled and non-disabled children, and help each other

Children with disabilities:

  • Are welcomed and included in formal and non-formal early childhood education
  • Make a smooth transition to primary schooling together with their peers
  • Are supported so that the impact of their impairments is reduced and compensated for

  • Are part of the family and community and have appropriate support
