Early childhood education sows the seeds for an inclusive society because it is where children with and without disabilities can learn, play and grow together. Early childhood education also increases a child’s chances of completing basic education and finding a way out of poverty and disadvantage.
As early childhood education is generally non-compulsory, it is more flexible than primary education and offers an excellent chance for working with a variety of stakeholders: government, nongovernmental organizations, the private sector and faith-based organizations.
