People with disabilities and their families:
- Have improved access to information and communication resources
- Understand that they are entitled to the same rights as everyone else
- Represent themselves effectively in their respective communities
CBR personnel:
- Are effective communicators and share information with all stakeholders, including those who have communication difficulties
Within the community:
- Communication barriers for people with disabilities are reduced or eliminated
- Families of people with disabilities are supported so they can provide an enabling environment in which people with disabilities are able to make their own choices and decisions
- Support networks are created for people with higher support needs
