Role of CBR
The role of CBR in self-advocacy and communication is to assist people with disabilities to:
- Understand that they are entitled to the same rights as everyone else
- Develop advocacy and communication skills they need to assert their rights
Ensure that their environment provides appropriate opportunities and support to:
- Allow people with disabilities to make decisions, and
- Express their needs and desires effectively
