People with disabilities are able to:
- participate actively in family and community life.
People with disabilities and their families are able to:
- demonstrate improved knowledge about their health, and about the importance of giving free and informed consent;
- actively participate in achieving good health;
- access affordable rehabilitation and health-care services (including sexual and reproductive health) close to home.
The health sector:
- is aware that people with disabilities can achieve good health
- does not discriminate on the basis of disability or other factors, such as gender
- always provides treatment and care on the basis of free and informed consent.
All development sectors, including education, livelihood and social sectors, collaborate to achieve good health for persons with disabilities.
